Senior Environmental Engineer

Job SummaryThe Senior Environmental Engineer is responsible in the processes that seek to control environmental entitiesin orientation to a plan or idea. This position is responsible for overseeing the environmental performance of theorganization and for developing, implementing and monitoring environmental strategies that promotesustainable development.Job Responsibilities 1 Develop and implement environmental management plans and strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and feasibility studies for proposed projects to evaluate potential risks and impacts.Monitor air, water, and soil quality, and oversee pollution control measures to mitigate environmental impacts.Design and implement remediation and restoration projects for contaminated sites, ensuring proper cleanup and rehabilitation.Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders on environmental matters.Coordinate with regulatory agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders to address environmental concerns and ensure regulatory compliance.Conduct environmental audits and inspections to assess compliance with environmental regulations and Company policies.Develop and deliver environmental training programs for employees to raise awareness and promote environmental stewardship.Stay updated on emerging environmental trends, regulations, and technologies to recommend innovative solutions and best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning, design, and operations.Job Responsibilities 2Collaborate with project and construction teams to integrate sustainable practices into project plans to achieve GSAS certification. Promote and implement green building practices and technologies to enhance project sustainability. Act as the primary point of contact for the GSAS consultant to coordinate all aspects of the sustainability assessment process by liaising with the GSAS consultant. Facilitate communication between project stakeholders and the GSAS consultant to address and resolve sustainability-related queries and issues. Ensure all necessary documentation and evidence are prepared and submitted for GSAS certification. Monitor and report on environmental performance, ensuring adherence to regulations and project requirements. Provide training and guidance to construction teams on environmental best practices and sustainability requirements. Identify potential environmental issues and develop effective solutions to address them.
