HELIOS is seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Technician to join our dedicated team supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to vital research and development, testing, evaluation, engineering, and fleet support activities for the Navy’s ships, submarines, military watercraft, and unmanned vehicles. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex projects within NSWCPD Code 60, which oversees the Compatibility Test Facility, ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions that bolster defense.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and execute testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of naval systems and equipment.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and management of complex engineering projects within NSWCPD Code 60.
- Operate and maintain specialized testing and measurement equipment in laboratory and field environments.
- Document test procedures, results, and technical data accurately and comprehensively.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop and implement testing protocols and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical specifications, and quality assurance procedures.
- Provide technical support during system integration, installation, and operational phases.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and facility operations.
This is position is contingent on contract award. Veterans receive hiring preference.
Requirements:
The following are the minimum requirements for this position:
- Possess a current, active SECRET Clearance
- Experience working with and handling U-NNPI Information.
- Must be a U.S.
- High school Diploma, related military experience, trade/industrial school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Five (5) years of experience as an engineering technician supporting Navy Hull, Machinery & Electrical systems/equipment.
- Two (2) years of which shall demonstrate experience working with logistics documentation supporting supply programs or projects.
- Experience may be gained concurrently.
