Job Description: As a Senior Engineer/Scientist on the RS3 UAS Contract, you will be responsible for executing engineering and scientific tasks related to the development and implementation of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). This role requires you to perform detailed technical analysis, contribute to the design and development of UAS solutions, and work independently to meet project goals. You will collaborate with senior engineers and scientists while also mentoring junior staff, ensuring successful project outcomes. A Secret Clearance is required to operate securely within the contract’s parameters.Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT II requirements.
- Minimum of 8 years of related job experience, gained post-degree from an accredited institution.
- Engineers must have received their engineering degree from an accredited program of study.
- Scientists must have received a science degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must be capable of receiving guidance from senior-level managers/engineers/scientists and working independently to accomplish assigned tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering or scientific tasks in support of the RS3 UAS Contract, ensuring compliance with project objectives and technical standards.
- Collaborate with senior team members to design, develop, and implement UAS solutions.
- Conduct in-depth technical analysis, assessments, and evaluations related to UAS engineering or scientific projects.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and scientists.
- Contribute to the development and execution of project goals, ensuring the delivery of innovative and effective solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Expertise in engineering or scientific principles, methodologies, and practices related to UAS.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
- Proven track record in technical analysis and system evaluations.
- Active DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification .
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
