Job Title: Senior Product Safety Engineer\n\nLocation: Coventry – we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.\n\nSalary: Competitive\n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\n\nDevelop, implement and maintain the Safety Management System\n\nSupport the production of Project Safety Management Plans\n\nUndertake Product Safety hazard and risk identification, management and assessment activities\n\nSupport construction of the Project Product Safety Case including Safety Case Reports\n\nSupport administration and management of the Project Hazard Log\n\nSupport the delivery training to the Product Safety and Environmental domains and the wider BAE Systems community\n\nProduce, present and articulate clear and logical technical safety arguments\n\nComplete peer reviews, checking, verification and assurance tasks to demonstrate the adequacy and robustness of the Project Safety Case and supporting documentation\n\nYour skills and experiences:\n\nEssential:\n\nScience/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent\n\nAwareness of the challenges posed by the environment that the product will be exposed to\n\nDesirable:\n\nAwareness of design, manufacturing, assembly, commissioning and testing submarines lifecycle phases\n\nAbility to interpret technical data\n\nBenefits\n\nAs well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.\n\nThe Integrated Combat Systems team\n\nAs a Product Safety Engineer you will provide support to the Engineering Delivery Manager in the development, delivery and maintenance of the Project Product Safety Management System and Product Safety Case to ensure Products are safe to own and legal to operate.
