Your Day-to-Day:

Perform non-standard Nuclear Design analysis utilizing Westinghouse neutronic modeling & monitoring codes & technology.

Neutronic Modeling & Monitoring System Advancement (i.e., Methodology and Software Development) in support of US and international customers.

Develop procedures, processes and/or methods for implementing technical requirements, or draft guidelines for localized station test and surveillance procedures.

Interface with customers and multi-functional project teams. May act as a subject matter expert and customer point of contact for specific engineering disciplines including Reactor Engineering, Operations, and Core Design.

Lead work of other engineers and provide periodic performance feedback to them.

Identify, define, and direct approach for successful resolution of significant technical nuclear design issues.

Coordinate and integrate complex technical projects that encompass multi-functional areas; successfully achieve established budget and schedule requirements.

Provide appropriate internal/external personnel with periodic updates and recommendations regarding nature and status of work.

Develop and deliver presentations to communicate status, problem resolution or promote related business products.

Additional Responsibilities:

Identify and support business growth opportunities and present recommendations to management.

Lead integration and development of major technical descriptions in support of customer proposals.

Develop new or improved products/services utilizing knowledge of economic studies and recent technical developments.

Coordinate and/or prepare technical documents for products/services.

Develop procedures, processes and/or methods for implementing technical requirements.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Nuclear, Mechanical, etc.) or related Discipline or recognized equivalent required.

4+ years of experience in one or more of the following disciplines

Nuclear Engineering/Physics

Mechanical/Materials Engineering

Software/Computer Engineering

Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable leading meetings and giving presentations.

Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.

Experience interfacing with customers.

Experience with Westinghouse nuclear code suite (APA) and/or BEACON Core Monitoring System

Experience with modern programming such as C/C++, Fortran 95/2003, Java, or Python
