A well-established specialist Tunnelling Sub-Contractor is seeking a highly competent Senior Engineer to join their team on a major tunnelling and reinforced concrete (RC) shafts package in Leeds.\n\nThis is a freelance role offering long-term security with a 12-month duration, starting 22nd September.\n\nKey Details:\n\n * \n\n Role: Senior Engineer\n\n * \n\n Location: Leeds\n\n * \n\n Project: Tunnelling and RC shafts\n\n * \n\n Rate: £350 – £450 per day\n\n * \n\n Start Date: 22nd September\n\n * \n\n Duration: 12 months\n\nRole Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Oversee setting out, quality control, and technical delivery of tunnelling and shaft construction works\n\n * \n\n Support the site team in delivering the works safely, on time, and to spec\n\n * \n\n Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and client representatives\n\n * \n\n Manage site documentation including RAMS, ITPs, RFI’s and as-builts\n\n * \n\n Mentor junior engineers and support the site management team\n\nRequirements:\n\n * \n\n Minimum 5 years' experience in civil engineering, with strong exposure to tunnelling and RC works\n\n * \n\n Previous experience in a senior engineering role on similar packages\n\n * \n\n HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or similar\n\n * \n\n Strong knowledge of temporary works, QA systems, and site engineering practices\n\n * \n\n CSCS card and right to work in the UK\n\n * \n\n SMSTS or SSSTS beneficial\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected contractor on a technically challenging and high-profile package.\n\nApply now with your CV to be considered or get in touch for more information
