Job Description
Senior Emulation Engineer – AI Hardware - Hybrid | Mountain View, CA
Acceler8 Talent is seeking an experienced Emulation Engineer to join a well funded startup whose hardware promises to drastically change the economics of compute for the worlds' largest models.
With >$100m series A in the bank, and a genuinely world-class team with a track record of shipping highly successful products, this company abandons legacy chip design assumptions and strives for the best possible solution for every aspect of their chip - there is no such thing as "good enough".
As a Senior Emulation Engineer, you’ll own pre-silicon emulation and verification/validation at the subsystem and full-chip level, enabling early software bring-up, performance analysis, and silicon risk reduction. You will work closely with design, verification, architecture, and software teams to drive execution toward key silicon milestones.
This role might be ideal for you if you have:
- Experience driving emulation and pre-silicon validation from concept to working silicon
- 8+ years of experience in emulation, pre-silicon validation, or closely related design verification roles
- Strong SystemVerilog expertise, including testbench development and debug in emulation environments
- Hands-on experience with emulation platforms (e.g. Palladium, Veloce, ZeBu, Protium, or similar)
- Experience using Python, C/C++, Bluespec, or similar for test development, modeling, and automation
- Solid understanding of silicon micro-architecture, including high-performance compute, interconnects, memory systems, and data movement
- Experience enabling early firmware, driver, and system software bring-up on emulated hardware
Familiarity with hybrid verification flows (UVM + emulation), performance modeling, and participation in post-silicon bring-up and debug are strong pluses.
