Are you an Embedded Software Engineer with 5+ years' experience ready to step into a senior role?\n\nOr an established Senior Embedded Software Engineer seeking a fresh technical challenge in an open, collaborative environment?\n\nIf so, this could be an excellent opportunity.\n\nMy client, based in Cambridgeshire, is a leading European designer and manufacturer of electronic test instruments and laboratory power supplies, supplying customers in over 50 countries worldwide. They are also one of the UK's largest distributors of test and measurement equipment, representing major American, European, and Japanese brands.\n\nSkills and Experience required for this Senior Embedded Software Engineer role based in Cambridgeshire:\n\nExtensive experience in embedded firmware development and system architecture\nStrong proficiency in C/C++, RTOS, and low-level interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART)\nSolid understanding of microcontrollers, SoCs, and hardware/software co-design\nExperience with system-level design, performance optimisation, and fault tolerance \n\nDesirable Experience for this Senior Embedded Software Engineer role based in Cambridgeshire:\n\nBackground in safety-critical systems and compliance standards\nFamiliarity with modern development tools (Git, CI/CD, static analysis)\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExperience with real-time operating systems (e.G.
