Senior Electronics Design Engineer in Minneapolis

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and development of advanced DC-DC power systems. This role will focus on high-power, high-current switching power supplies and offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle—from concept through validation.

Responsibilities:

• Design DC-DC switching power supplies (high current, high power, polyphase)
• Perform analog simulation and analysis (Buck SMPS)
• Create schematics, select components, and develop BOMs and PCB layouts
• Develop microcontroller code to control power systems
• Write and execute test programs to validate hardware
• Lead small project teams and coordinate cross-functional efforts
• Support design validation, diagnostics, and documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to define requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience with power electronics and DC-DC converter design
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Willingness to travel up to 5%
