Senior Electrical Engineer – Building Services\n\nLocation: Oxford (Hybrid Working)\n\n Sector: Building Services Engineering\n\n Salary: Competitive + excellent benefits\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join an established and respected Building Services Consultancy based in Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a range of commercial, residential, education, and healthcare projects.\n\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in leading electrical design work, managing projects, and mentoring junior engineers — with the support of a strong multidisciplinary team.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and deliver electrical engineering design across multiple projects from concept to completion.\n\nProduce and review detailed designs, drawings, and technical specifications for power, lighting, fire alarm, and communications systems.\n\nManage client relationships and attend design and coordination meetings.\n\nWork collaboratively with mechanical, sustainability, and architectural teams to ensure integrated design solutions.\n\nProvide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers.\n\nEnsure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and health & safety requirements.\n\nSupport project bids and proposals where required.\n\nAbout You\n\nDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.\n\nChartered or working towards CEng status (IET or equivalent).\n\nProven experience delivering electrical building services designs within a consultancy environment.\n\nStrong understanding of UK building regulations and design standards.\n\nProficient in relevant design software (e.g. Amtech, Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux).\n\nExcellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills.\n\nSelf-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nHybrid working – typically 2–3 days per week in the Oxford office.\n\nCompetitive salary with performance-related bonus.\n\n25 days annual leave + option to buy/sell additional days.\n\nPrivate healthcare and pension scheme.\n\nSupport for professional development and chartership.\n\nFriendly and collaborative working environment with opportunities for career progression
