Senior Electrical Engineer at Simbex LLC in Lebanon, NH

Design, develop and test electronic systems for the medical device, consumer health, and sports tech markets. Work with project teams and clients in a consulting environment to help specify requirements, provide electrical design and development assistance, support verification and validation activities and follow Simbex Quality Management System. Duties:

• Design, simulate, and prototype of analog and digital circuity;
• Lead schematic capture and circuit board layouts;
• Lead research and technology development activities;
• Test, troubleshoot, analyze and lead root cause failure analyses;
• Direct and coordinate building of prototype product or system;
• Plan and develop experimental test programs and design validation;
• Design and develop low power embedded systems incorporating wireless communication, sensing, data collection, and data processing;
• Design for manufacturability;
• Design circuits to appropriate regulatory standards (e.g. IEC 60601);
• Develop and manage design verification test plans;
• Provide Test and Production support;
• Help define system and component operating requirements based on customer needs or market requirements;
• Prepare technical specifications for electrical/electronic components and systems;
• Design and maintain electronic circuits and printed circuit board layouts;
• Interface to vendors and coordinate PCB layout and fabrication;
• Prototype and test new designs;
• Help oversee third-party testing/certification of new product designs (e.g. UL, FCC, IEC);
• Assist with analyzing product returns and production failures;
• Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Design, or related field of study and seven (7) years of experience in electrical engineering. Will also accept Masters degree in the same fields and five (5) years of experience in electrical engineering. Total experience must include five (5) years of experience in designing, testing, and analyzing electrical systems and components, including PCBs and writing technical reports for quality assurance, including detailing design decisions, test results, and technical specifications.
