Senior Electrical Engineer – Aviation MRO\n\nCardiff | Hybrid Working | UK-wide Opportunities\n\nWe’re partnering with a globally recognised engineering consultancy looking to strengthen its Aviation team with an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer specialising in MRO facilities.\n\nThis is an opportunity to work on technically complex, high-profile aviation projects that are helping shape the future of airport infrastructure, sustainability and operational performance across the UK and internationally.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou’ll play a key role in the design and delivery of aviation maintenance and hangar facilities, leading electrical building services design across multidisciplinary projects from concept through to completion.\n\nWorking closely with clients, contractors and wider engineering teams, you’ll also support and mentor junior engineers while helping deliver innovative, sustainable engineering solutions.\n\nProjects will include specialist aviation systems such as:\n\n * 400Hz aircraft ground power systems\n\n * Power infrastructure for aircraft maintenance equipment\n\n * Electrical systems supporting hydraulic, compressed air and mass air start systems\n\n * Electrical design within hazardous and ATEX environments\n\n * Fire suppression systems within MRO facilities\n\nAbout You\n\nWe’re looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with leadership and client-facing experience.\n\nYou’ll ideally have:\n\n * Degree qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering\n\n * Chartered status (IET, CIBSE or equivalent)\n\n * Strong experience within the aviation sector, particularly MRO facilities\n\n * Experience leading multidisciplinary projects\n\n * Knowledge of relevant aviation standards, DSEAR and ATEX environments\n\n * An interest in sustainable and low-carbon design principles\n\nWhy Apply?\n\n * Work on major aviation infrastructure projects\n\n * Join a highly respected global consultancy\n\n * Hybrid and flexible working options\n\n * Collaborative and supportive team culture\n\n * Genuine opportunities for progression and development\n\nIf you have experience delivering aviation or MRO projects and want to be part of a growing, forward-thinking team, we’d love to hear from you
