Position Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Onshore (Ras Laffan / Doha HQ)

Contract Type: Initial 2-year contract with possibility of extension (Call-Off Order via service agreement)

Work Schedule:

• 8-10 hours per day, Sunday to Thursday

• 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off (single status)

• 30 days annual leave (couple status)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide expert electrical engineering support for onshore operations. The role covers EPC and start-up phases, ensuring project deliverables meet operational expectations for safety, reliability, operability, and maintainability across the facility lifecycle. The successful candidate will contribute to both technical excellence and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide electrical engineering support across design reviews, commissioning, start-up, failure analysis, and troubleshooting for complex projects

• Develop and implement surveillance and administration programs for critical electrical systems to ensure reliability, availability, and cyber security

• Lead or support integrity programs for electrical equipment to maintain high safety and operational standards

• Provide technical guidance to other disciplines and ensure alignment with business objectives

• Supervise contractors, consultants, and service providers to ensure quality and compliance

• Mentor less experienced engineers in electrical integrity, reliability, and operational standards

• Support project tie-ins and prepare discipline handover packages for operations teams

• Oversee high-risk commissioning activities, including system tuning, optimisation, and advisory support to operations and maintenance

• Maintain issue registers, identify risks from new technologies, and implement mitigation measures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in oil and gas environments

Skills and Competencies:

• Senior Electrical Engineer-level competence in electrical systems

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills

• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Computer literate with experience using professional office and technical applications

• Understanding of SHE (safety, health, environment) standards and procedures

• Problem-solving and innovation capabilities to address operational and project challenges
