Job Description
Location: On-site – 13000 Memorial Pkwy SW, Huntsville, AL 35803
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $50 – $54.49/hour (W2)
Clearance/Eligibility: U.S. only (due to ITAR requirements)
About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a high-impact project supporting the development and production of next- ground combat vehicle systems.
In this role, you’ll be embedded at a supplier facility, acting as the key engineering liaison between manufacturing and quality teams. Your focus will be on the production and quality assurance of PCBAs/CCAs and electronic enclosures for mission-critical defense systems.
This is a hands-on, supplier-facing role where you’ll ensure quality standards are met, troubleshoot issues, and help drive continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the on-site technical point of contact at the supplier's facility
- Monitor and support PCBA/CCA manufacturing processes and quality control
- Analyze and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and CAPA
- Evaluate non-conforming materials and lead quality investigations
- Interpret and review technical drawings and IPC standards compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a Zero Defect culture
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in electrical or electronics engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- Strong knowledge of IPC-A-600 and IPC J-STD-001
- Background in PCBA/CCA production and quality assurance
- Proficient in root cause analysis, corrective/preventative actions, and defect resolution
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- U.S. Citizenship required (due to federal defense contract work)
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620
- Experience in defense, aerospace, or highly regulated electronics manufacturing
- Exposure to supplier quality engineering or manufacturing engineering roles
