BigFoot Staffing is excited to present this direct hire opportunity to join an established engineering team right here in Portland, OR. If you’re an experienced Electrical Engineer who enjoys solving complex design challenges, mentoring others, and seeing your work come to life in real-world systems — this could be your next big step.

Why This Role?

You’ll be part of a collaborative team that designs and integrates electrical power and control systems for large-scale industrial equipment. From concept through production, your work will have a direct impact on product performance and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

• Lead electrical design for power and control systems (PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, overload protection).
• Develop drawings and schematics (electrical and P&IDs) and create detailed BOMs.
• Ensure all designs meet UL508A, NEMA, and CSA standards.
• Partner with sales, mechanical, and production teams to deliver smart, efficient solutions.
• Share your knowledge by mentoring newer engineers and championing best practices.
• Support production with troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical issues.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Around 10 years of experience in industrial electrical design and system integration.
• Strong background in 3-phase power systems and industrial controls.
• Hands-on knowledge of panel design, fabrication, and wiring installation.

Bonus Points For

• CSA compliance expertise.
• Experience with CREO or MicroStation for schematics/P&IDs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical + mechanical integration.
