Job Description

Senior Ecologist – Birmingham (Hybrid, with remote working options available)\n\nI am currently recruiting for a large, multi-disciplinary consultancy based in the Midlands, who are on the lookout for a Principal Ecologist to come and join the team.\n\nMy client is happy to consider an experienced Consultant Ecologist, who is looking to make the next step up or, a current Senior Ecologist who is looking for a new challenge.\n\nThis role is full-time and permanent and offers both hybrid and remote working options.\n\nRequirements\n\n * A relevant BSc or MSc in Ecology or other related discipline\n\n * Membership to CIEEM\n\n * Excellent verbal and written communication skills\n\n * Good commercial awareness\n\n * Indepth knowledge of UK protected species\n\n * Ideally one protected species license (Bat or GCN)\n\n * Experienced in BNG and habitat management.\n\nWhat’s expected\n\n * Providing technical advice, planning and undertaking ecology surveys including extended Phase 1 habitat/UKHab surveys and protected species surveys.\n\n * Preparing tenders for a range of projects\n\n * Client liaison and project management.\n\n * Mentoring and training junior staff members.\n\n * Report reviewing\n\nThis role comes with:\n\n * Health cash plan\n\n * Excellent salary (annually reviewed)\n\n * Enhanced family and maternity leave\n\n * Generous holiday entitlement\n\n * Ongoing training and courses\n\nIf the above role if of interested, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and we can arrange a convenient time to talk ((phone number removed))
