Senior EC&I Engineer

Do you have experience of working for an Engineering design consultancy in the Nuclear and Defence sector?

Are you illegible to gain SC clearance?

Are you an experienced EC&I Engineer with experience of Cranes.



Senior EC&I Engineer

Location - Birchwood, Warrington, Cheshire (Hybrid)

Hours - 40 hours per week (Mon – Friday flexi - time available)

Rate - £60.00 Umbrella per hour (inside ir35 only)



Key Accountabilities

Development of designs to satisfy the technical specification,

Production of design deliverables throughout the design process,

Checking/approval of discipline specific design deliverables,

Contribution to design reviews and safety reviews,

Ensuring quality and timely delivery of design documentation throughout all phases of the design process,

Compliance with safety legislation and statutory regulations,

Develop cost effective technical solutions,

Staff development,

Managing safety by developing and reinforcing the safety culture,

Management of contractors,

Provide technical consultancy.

Occupational Skills and Knowledge

Degree or HND qualified in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical / engineering discipline or demonstrable experience,

Working towards, or already have, Chartership in a discipline specific engineering institution.



Duties and Requirements



Essential

Experience of using ISO 13849

Cranes/Hoists experience

Strong understanding of the fundamentals within your engineering discipline.

Previous experience of working within the Defence industry – Key experience to support the group. with industry processes and expectations within various documents.

Proven track record of successfully delivering design solutions.

Understanding of design requirements to support nuclear safety cases.

Good understanding of safety legislation and statutory regulations.

Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

Good level of commercial awareness.

Experience of leading design teams.

Experience of managing sub-contracts.

Desirable

Shiplift Electric Overhead Travelling Cranes

SL Platform control and protection system

12 Berth and Finger Jetty mobile cranes

NUB EOT Cranes

Full membership of a discipline specific engineering institution,

A full UK driving licence

Experience of bid preparation

Hold SC or be able to obtain without issue.
