About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Senior Director of Automation & Controls to drive the design, reliability, and efficiency of their Building Management System (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS), and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) systems. This leadership role ensures standardization, security, and optimal functionality across all data center locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, construction, and QA/QC of BMS, EPMS, and DCIM systems.

• Maintain system standardization, ensuring performance, security, and accurate data output.

• Collaborate with IT, Operations, and Security teams on system configuration and maintenance.

• Ensure cybersecurity compliance for operational technology (OT) equipment.

• Provide 24/7 on-call support for incident response and troubleshooting.

• Manage vendor relationships to ensure seamless system integration and performance.

• Develop training programs for internal staff and clients on system functionalities.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Your Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Construction Management, or a related field.

• 10+ years in programming/controls for critical facilities (data center experience ).

• Strong understanding of power distribution and mechanical systems.

• Proficiency in programming (Java, HTML) and control systems such as Niagara, ALC, and Schneider EcoStruxure.

• Familiarity with communication protocols (BACNET, Modbus, Ethernet IP, MQTT).

• Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
