Title: Senior Developer / Architect (DevOps & GitHub Actions)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid or Remote Flexibility Depending on Candidate)
Type: Full-Time | W2 or Contract (specify as needed)
Summary:
CEI’s Solutions Division is actively seeking a Senior Developer / Architect who is passionate about DevOps and GitHub automation. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with deep experience designing and building CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions. You will collaborate closely with development teams to enhance software delivery processes using modern DevOps tools and Agile best practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions

Partner with developers to enhance build, test, and release workflows

Craft DevOps solutions and roadmaps tailored to client needs

Work with cross-functional teams to modernize software delivery
-
Contribute to internal DevOps best practices and reusable frameworks

Provide expert-level guidance and troubleshooting on automation, release, and cloud practices
Required Qualifications:

Strong software development background (Computer Science or similar)

Hands-on experience with:
-
Git / GitHub and GitHub Actions
-
AWS and/or Azure DevOps
-
CI/CD, branching strategies, source control fundamentals
-
Build automation and release management
-
Familiarity with DevOps tools and technologies such as Docker, Jenkins, and open-source frameworks
-
Clear understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps culture
Skills:
-
Experience mentoring or architecting DevOps solutions for engineering teams

Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)

Exposure to container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
-
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
