Job Description
Join a fast-growing SaaS environment focused on building and scaling next-, AI-powered products. This role is ideal for an experienced DevOps professional who thrives on ownership, reliability, and enabling engineering teams to move quickly and confidently.
Responsibilities
- Own, design, and evolve infrastructure using a GitOps-driven, Kubernetes- approach.
- Operate, scale, and support microservices architectures running on Kubernetes.
- Provision, upgrade, and maintain Kubernetes clusters using tools such as kOps and Cluster API.
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure using Crossplane and Terraform.
- Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Implement and improve observability, monitoring, tracing, and profiling across platforms.
- Lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and drive long-term system improvements.
- Continuously enhance platform reliability, security, cost efficiency, and developer experience.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience working with Kubernetes, including strong operational and troubleshooting expertise.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps-driven environments.
- Solid experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Crossplane.
- Strong background in operating microservices architectures in production environments.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, tracing, and profiling solutions.
- Experience leading incident response, root cause analysis, and driving platform reliability improvements.
- Ownership mindset with a strong focus on building reliable, scalable, and developer-friendly platforms.
- Pragmatic engineering approach with emphasis on maintainability and clarity.
- Experience with Kafka in a microservices environment, ideally using the Strimzi Kafka Operator.
- Experience developing or maintaining Kubernetes controllers in Go.
- Availability for monthly onsite presence in Berlin (2x per month).
