Job Title: Senior DevOps Consultant

Working Location: Warsaw, Poland

Contract Type: Fixed-term until 31st December 2026 (Potential Extension)
Work Schedule: 8 hours per day / 5 days a week
Assignment Start: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:
- Join an expert DevOps team managing Kubernetes platforms in Azure and AWS.
- Support activities for the migration from Azure/Azure DevOps pipelines to AWS/GitHub Actions.
- Perform consulting services connected with operations in Warsaw, with occasional office attendance for project delivery, workshops, and collaboration as required.
- Remote work outside of Warsaw, Poland is not permitted unless specifically agreed.

Typical Deliverables:
- Deliver DevOps consulting aligned with project needs, including on-premises engagement and remote collaboration within the designated location.
- Adapt to evolving business and project needs, including onsite attendance as necessary.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure, with expertise in Kubernetes-based application migrations and managing production-grade cloud environments.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and/or Kustomize, RBAC, container image management, service accounts, ingress controllers, cluster support, and troubleshooting.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS services for Kubernetes (EKS, IAM, IRSA, VPC, security groups, load balancers, Route 53, JFrog image registries, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager/Parameter Store, S3, RDS, EFS).
- Proficient in Azure technology stacks (AKS, Azure DevOps, Azure Container Registry, networking, identity, Key Vault, Monitor, Log Analytics, and integrations).
- Expert-level experience with Terraform to design, build, refactor, and maintain infrastructure across both Azure and AWS; experienced with reusable modules, remote state, environment separation, and migration patterns.
- High proficiency with GitHub Actions for CI/CD processes.
- For some roles: hands-on experience deploying, operating, and scaling JupyterHub and JupyterLab on Kubernetes in cloud environments, especially AWS EKS.
- Experience with Zero to JupyterHub Helm chart, customization, persistent storage, scaling, compute/GPU support, cloud service integrations, multi-tenant admin, environment management, and observability.
- Understanding of data and storage migration, including planning, backup/restore, schema compatibility, cutover and rollback, data validation, and persistent storage migration for Kubernetes.
- Strong networking skills with emphasis on cloud/Kubernetes networking, VNet/VPC, DNS, certificates, ingress/egress, firewall rules, connectivity testing across Azure, AWS, on-premises.
- Security-driven mindset with experience in identity mapping between Azure and AWS, RBAC, secure secrets handling, workload identity, image scanning, Kubernetes security, and supporting compliance/audit requirements.
- Proven experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, operations, and troubleshooting using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and related tooling.
- Proficiency in scripting with Python or Bash for automating migration, validation, runbooks, and pipelines-related tasks.

Nice to Have:
- Prior experience migrating AKS to EKS.
- Hands-on experience transitioning from Azure DevOps YAML pipelines to GitHub workflows.
- Additional experience with JupyterHub and JupyterLab at scale.
