Platform Recruitment is partnering with a growing technology company in Cambridge that is looking for a hands-on engineer to develop advanced test platforms used to evaluate next- products.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly innovative environment where you'll combine mechanical, electrical and software skills to solve complex engineering challenges and deliver high-quality technical data.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop bespoke test equipment and experimental rigsCreate software tools to automate testing and improve data handlingDevelop new methods for evaluating product performance and reliabilityUtilise 3D CAD to develop prototype components, fixtures and test equipmentBuild and integrate hardware, instrumentation and supporting systemsContribute to continuous improvements across testing capabilities and processesKey Requirements:Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related disciplineAbility to design and assemble bespoke fixtures and prototype systems3D CAD designStrong background in developing and running engineering test programmesExperience creating automated software tools using Python or similar languagesHands-on experience with instrumentation and laboratory equipmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling technical dataIf you have the right skills and experience, we'd love to hear from you!
