Due to new projects and increased resource, we are now looking to recruit a team of Senior Detail Design Engineers, on a permanent basis. Undertaking a defined range of a detail design activities, this role will involve completion of a variety of tasks. Interpreting change requests, producing 3D models, 2D outputs and creating documentation reports to support operations and other functions, always ensuring defined objectives are achieved.

Day-to-day tasks will include the production of 3D integrated CAD models, 2D output drawings and associated documentation (Impacted Item Sheets) that deliver the engineering design intent for structural design purposes. Additionally producing, engineering evidence to back detail design decisions in the form of technical reports, specifications and studies.

The successful candidate will have previous background in structural design within a complex engineering domain such as Marine, Aerospace, Automotive, Energy etc. Candidates must be proficient in the use of 3D CAD software. You must be an excellent team player with a tenacious and resilient attitude to drive the interface with the customer and the various engineering and support functions of the business, with excellent communication skills both written and spoken.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the Marine Engineering environment supported by previous software experience (such as CAD, ideally Windchill or Foran).
