Job DescriptionSenior Design EngineerA brand turning 50 next year is rebuilding its product development team from scratch, and wants people who treat this work as a hobby, not just a job. Vax, part of the global TTI Group, is hiring two Senior Design Engineers in Droitwich, Worcestershire, four days a week on site, with real ownership as the team reforms.Scope of the RoleAs a Senior Design Engineer, you will take ideas from a blank sheet through prototype and into production, working closely with industrial design, mechanical, electronics and NPD.Generate original engineering concepts for new floor care and home cleaning products.Build and test prototypes, then feed what you learn back into the next iteration.Produce robust CAD designs, CREO , though strong 3D ability matters more than the software badge.Support the handover into NPD, so your concepts actually reach production.Engage suppliers on future technology, not just the parts you need today.Key Skills and Experience RequiredA degree (BEng or MEng) in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Engineering.Extensive experience as a Senior Design Engineer, Senior Product Design Engineer or Advanced DevelopmentEngineer in consumer product development.Strong CAD and engineering fundamentals, CREO , any mainstream 3D package considered.A proven track record of taking concepts from sketch to prototype, then prototype through to production.Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where you set your own direction.What's on OfferFour days a week on site in Droitwich, with genuine influence over how the team works.A senior individual contributor seat as the Senior Design Engineer function is rebuilt, not a fixed spot in a mature machine.Backing from TTI, a global parent, with the pace and ownership of a small team.Breadth across concept , prototyping, CAD, supplier engagement and the NPD handover.As a Senior Design Engineer at Vax, you join a well-known floor care brand at a genuine turning point.
