Job Description
Astute's Renewables team is partnered with established anaerobic digestion business who design, build and operate assets. They're looking to recruit an experienced Senior Design Engineer to support with their expanding portfolio.\n\nThe Senior Design Engineer role comes with a competitive salary (depending on experience), pension, private health and dental care.\n\nIf you're an experienced Design Engineer and are looking to work for an established and growing business, then submit your CV to apply today.\n\nResponsibilities and duties of the Senior Design Engineer role\n\nReporting to the Lead Technical Design Manager you will:\n\nCarry out technical feasibility study till final completion of the projects and hand over including detailed design\nProduction of Technical Specification of all major packages required for a typical AD plant\nPreparation of Process flow diagram, Process calculations, P&IDs, Plant control philosophy (FDS), Cause and Effect analysis and all other supporting technical information (including Line list /Valve list/Instrument list /Equipment list /similar)\nReviewing scopes of Balance of Plant - Both Mechanical and Electrical system of the complete AD plant \nTechnical support during procurement, commissioning. Performance Acceptance Test and final handover\nActive participation during HAZID, HAZOP/ SIL meetings\nSupporting and updating Design Risk register and CDM Risk register \nActively using design software, AutoCAD and other modelling packages\nReview 3D CAD model and ALM assessment\nTechnical inputs during design and engineering review and progress meetings\nLiaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, site installations and construction teams as required\nDetailed technical review of technical documentation received from different suppliers -for typical AD plant\nCompile final technical documentation including "As built" drawings, test sheets, datasheet into O&M manuals\nManaging/ reviewing the production of QA documentation including FAT /SAT documentation \nOther Duties as required \n\nProfessional qualifications \n\nWe are looking for someone with the following:\n\nBachelor's or master's degree or equivalent in Chemical, Process, Mechanical or similar\nFull UK Driving Licence \n\nPersonal skills \n\nThe Senior Design Engineer role would suit someone who is:\n\nExperience working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams in anaerobic digestion or biomethane sector\n5 to 10 years' experience in Anaerobic Digestion, biogas/biomethane, and biomethane injection\nGood understanding of boundary conditions including electro-mechanical features for major packages \nUnderstanding regulations and guidance for Biomethane, CO2 capture, DSEAR regulations\nGood knowledge of CAD and 3D modelling experience\nExperience in CFD modelling will be added advantage \nGood IT skills including experience on Microsoft Project\nWill to commute to projects nationwide, including head office in Peterborough \n\nSalary and benefits of the Senior Design Engineer role \n\nA competitive salary depending on experience\nPrivate health and dental care\nAdditional benefits discussed at interview\nThe chance to join an expanding business\n\nINDREN\n\nAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
