As part of our continued expansion, we’re looking to hire a Senior Design & Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary projects within the aviation sector—one of our fastest-growing business areas. This role involves full responsibility for complex projects, from coordinating design and build efforts to ensuring excellence at every stage of delivery.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and manage aviation-related design and construction projects from inception to completion
- Act as the key point of contact for clients and maintain strong working relationships
- Coordinate internal disciplines and external consultants across all phases
- Oversee procurement, contract management, design delivery, and risk mitigation
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, building codes, and sustainability goals
- Monitor progress against quality, budget, and performance indicators
- Encourage a collaborative environment and support innovation throughout the project lifecycle
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Chartered status (e.g. RIBA, MICE, CIOB) or on track to achieve it
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in design/project management, preferably within consultancy or design & build settings
- A strong track record in delivering complex infrastructure or aviation-sector projects
- Solid knowledge of planning regulations, JCT/NEC contracts, and public sector procurement processes
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage clients effectively
- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and project management software (e.g. MS Project or Primavera)
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with sustainable design approaches and ESG initiatives
- Experience working on international or culturally diverse projects
- Competency in BIM Level 2 environments
