Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (Informatica)\n Day Rate: £(Apply online only) - Umbrella only\n Clearance required: SC cleared\n Location: London/Hybrid\n Duration: 5 months\n\nEssential Skills:\n\nInformatica\nData project experience\nAWS\nAzure\n Desirable Skills:\n\nHands-on expertise in AWS & Spark: Amazon EMR, S3, Lambda; strong PySpark/Python and SQL for large-scale batch processing.\nData engineering at scale in government or similarly complex domains, including performance tuning and data quality management.\nCI/CD & DevOps: pipelines and IaC (e.g., Terraform), automated testing, and release governance.\nVersion control & collaboration: Git/GitLab, code review, branching strategies, and trunk/PR workflows.\nAPIs & integration: building/consuming data services to move and expose data safely and reliably.\nAgile ways of working with Jira/Confluence; clear stakeholder communication and concise technical documentation.\nData warehousing & modelling (e.g., Redshift; dimensional modelling).\nBasic Power BI familiarity to partner with BI developers and validate end-to-end data flows.\nAWS ecosystem depth (Athena, Redshift, EC2, CloudWatch, IAM) and event-driven patterns.\n Certifications (nice to have)\n\nAWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (or higher), Azure AI Fundamentals (awareness of ML/AI services).\n\nThis role requires additional vetting, which means this could take longer than our normal onboarding process.\n\nAll profiles will be reviewed against the required skills and experience.
