ComResource is looking for a Senior Data Engineer.

We need someone to assist in building and supporting a regulatory reporting data ecosystem by migrating legacy ETL and DB2 systems to modern data platforms including Snowflake.

Responsibilities:

• Lead migration from legacy DataStage and DB2 systems to modern ETL tools and Snowflake
• Analyze enterprise data flows and design scalable data solutions
• Develop and support ETL pipelines, APIs, tools, and data processes
• Collaborate with application teams, architecture, infrastructure, and business stakeholders
• Act as a technical expert on data architecture, integration, performance, and security
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes for data platforms
• Provide troubleshooting and production support for data environments
• Participate in planning for hardware, software, and infrastructure needs
• Conduct research on new technologies and data engineering practices
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
• Support monitoring, analytics improvements, and internal data platform projects

Essentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong SQL development skills
• 3+ years of experience working with ETL technologies
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with dbt or similar data modeling tools
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to business and technical stakeholders

Desired:

• Experience migrating DB2 systems to Snowflake
• Experience with IBM DataStage
• Python programming experience
• Experience within financial services environments
• Experience with data visualization tools
• Experience mentoring junior engineers
