Role Overview

VEIR is seeking a

Senior Power Distribution Applications Engineer – Data Centers

to help revolutionize power delivery in the world’s largest data centers. This individual will work directly with VEIR’s data center customers to evaluate how to best match VEIR’s hardware capabilities to emerging power bottlenecks within data centers. The role involves challenging conventional practices and communicating the value of superconducting solutions across various data center contexts. You will also help foster VEIR’s business relationships, market strategies, and collaborative partnerships, while contributing to product design to address data center bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of VEIR’s technology and its deployment in data center applications.

Refine and articulate VEIR’s value proposition for data center customers.

Create single-line diagrams for VEIR's system integration test environment.

Conduct competitive analysis comparing VEIR’s solutions to conventional options.

Provide customer support for Level 2 and Level 3 engagements.

Initial 3-6-12 Month Goals

Understand VEIR’s technology and create reference designs.

Contribute to system commissioning and documentation.

Support certification processes and develop system designs for pilot projects.

Qualifications

8+ years experience in designing or delivering data center power solutions.

Hands-on experience evaluating hardware solutions for large-scale data centers.

Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, UL).

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems ).

Familiarity with power distribution equipment, single-line diagrams, and electrical protection schemes.

Proficiency in CAD software and electrical modeling tools.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
