Overview
This position supports the Bank’s CCAR/DFAST Regulatory submission and compliance with the FED/OCC. The project involves annual stress testing and capital planning exercises, with a focus on building and enhancing data and application platforms to meet regulatory requirements. The role offers the opportunity to work on a capital project that will transition into BAU work.
Key Responsibilities
- Get up to speed with the App BAU vulnerabilities
- Once submission happens in April, switch to more project work
- Newly building items
- Support the annual CCAR project and subsequent enhancements based on feedback and new reporting requirements
- Develop Java-based web applications
- Support the design and development of REST services including authorization and metering
- Architect J2EE & Core Java based applications
- Work on Java backend development for web applications using Spring Boot, Spock, Groovy, Mockito, TestNG, etc.
- Support deployment to Open Shift Platform (Kubernetes) and exposure to Helm Charts
- Collaborate with a small team supporting regulatory reporting and compliance initiatives
Required Skills
- Prior experience in JavaScript Frameworks (preferably Angular JS)
- Expert in designing/developing J2EE based web applications (JSP, Servlets, JSF, XSLT, XML)
- Prior (hands-on) experience architecting J2EE & Core Java applications
- Expert in design and development of REST services including authorization and metering
- Expert in designing/developing Java backend for web applications (Spring Boot, Spock, Groovy, Mockito, TestNG)
- Prior experience in JavaScript/UI Frameworks (preferably React, Ag-Grid, Axios, Material UI)
- Prior experience in Build & Integration Tools: Gradle, Jenkins Pipeline, Docker (>=JDK 17), GitHub
- Deployment experience to Open Shift Platform (Kubernetes), exposure to Helm Charts
- Prior experience in Relational databases (Oracle, Teradata)
Skills
- Prior experience in developing Python backends (FastApi, Flask)
- Prior experience in:
- Developing Single Page Web Apps (SPA)
- NOSQL databases (Cassandra, Mongo)
- Nice to Have:
- Design and development of high-performance web-scale systems including non-blocking designs and distributed caching
- Cloud infrastructure design and management
- Design and implementation of automation and repeatable testing infrastructure
