Senior Cost Accountant - India (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant with 5+ years of expertise in the Raffia Plastic Bags and Big Bags (FIBC) manufacturing industry to join our team in a remote (work-from-home) capacity.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost analysis, budgeting, variance analysis, inventory control, and cost optimization to enhance profitability in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Accounting & Analysis:
  • Monitor and analyze production costs (raw materials, labor, overheads) for Raffia/PP/HDPE bags and FIBC (Big Bags).
  • Conduct product costing, variance analysis (material, labor, overhead), and margin analysis.
  • Prepare cost reports and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Assist in annual budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Track actual vs. budgeted costs and report deviations.
• Inventory & Manufacturing Cost Control:
  • Monitor raw material consumption, wastage, and scrap analysis.
  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation (FIFO/WAC methods) and reconciliation.
  • Work with production teams to optimize costs.
• Management Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly cost statements, profitability reports, and KPIs.
  • Support decision-making with cost-related insights.
• Compliance & Process Improvement:
  • Ensure compliance with costing standards (Ind AS/IFRS).
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement cost-reduction strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• CMA (Certified Management Accountant) – .
• 5+ years of Cost Accounting experience in Raffia/Plastic Bags, FIBC (Big Bags), or Packaging Manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of costing methods (Standard, Marginal, Activity-Based Costing).
• Proficient in ERP/SAP (Manufacturing Modules), Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP), and financial modeling.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication & ability to work remotely with cross-functional teams.
