RemX Search is partnering with an established manufacturing solutions company to identify a Senior Controls Technician. Join a dynamic team specializing in industrial automation systems and material handling technology.

Role Summary

Deploy, configure, and maintain automated control systems at various client facilities nationwide. Deliver exceptional technical service while representing our client's commitment to innovation and quality. Extensive travel required - up to 80% annually.

Core Duties

  • Deploy and configure automated control systems for new and upgraded installations
  • Collaborate with project teams and customers to develop comprehensive acceptance testing protocols
  • Generate and validate technical documentation in partnership with engineering staff
  • Serve as primary technical liaison between customers and internal project teams
  • Deliver remote diagnostic support and troubleshooting assistance to assigned accounts
  • Analyze electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for system implementation
  • Develop, modify, and debug PLC programming using Ladder Logic and Structured Text
  • Coordinate with internal IT resources during system deployment and issue resolution
  • Build lasting professional partnerships with customers and project stakeholders
  • Provide regular status updates and technical reports to management and project teams
  • Support additional technical initiatives as business needs dictate

Required Qualifications

Technical Experience

  • 5+ years in electromechanical systems integration and maintenance
  • Proficiency in electrical schematic interpretation and analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in electromechanical system diagnostics and repair
  • Advanced knowledge of Siemens S7 platform programming (Ladder Logic and Structured Text)
  • Comprehensive experience with Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley product suite
  • Strong mechanical aptitude combined with electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Database management and data analysis capabilities
  • Remote access software proficiency for customer support
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Superior communication skills in both written and verbal formats

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification

Professional Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record meeting commercial insurance standards

Compensation Package

  • Hourly Rate: $38.00 - $40.00 based on experience
  • Travel Schedule: Extended assignments lasting 4-5 weeks per deployment
  • Geographic Preference: Texas-based candidates , Houston metro area ideal
