Kantor Energy are currently recruiting for a Senior Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to work on various Kantor projects, based in the Kantor/Dornan London Office.\n\nKantor are a specialist engineering contractor, who have been designing and building innovative and sustainable energy systems for clients across the UK and Ireland for over 12 years.\n\nWe are a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dornan Engineering Group (itself a wholly owned subsidiary of Turner Construction).\n\nDornan are a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with over £600m annual turnover and with projects in Ireland, Mainland Europe, the Nordics and the UK.\n\nYou will join a hard-working, ambitious, innovative team and you will benefit from a supportive culture, where your ideas and contributions will be recognised.\n\nRoles and responsibilities:\n\nDetailed design and site engineering for controls systems across a range of scales and types of heat network projects in the London area.\n\nEngagement with supply chain during initial procurement, detailed design, construction and commissioning phases to ensure optimal selection and delivery of energy centre and heat substation controls systems and instrumentation.\n\nCombination of engineering office-based (during detailed design phase) and site-based role (during construction phase).\n\nActing as senior C&I design engineer during detailed design phase, reporting to Engineering Manager\n\nActing as lead site C&I engineer during construction phase, reporting to Project Manager\n\nReview, analysis and reporting on project performance\n\nExperience/Qualifications Required:\n\nLevel 8 / Honours bachelor's degree in engineering\n\nMin 7 years' experience in a C&I engineering role, preferably within the energy sector\n\nExperience of management, and engaging at a senior level with Clients/suppliers/other stakeholders\n\nFlexible and enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to take on novel challenges\n\nDetailed understanding of BMS systems and PLC based control systems\n\nFamiliarity with Siemens and Trend control system platforms.\n\nProficiency in MS Office suite, in particular MS Excel and MS Word\n\nDesire to experience full project engineering lifecycle, from design through to construction, commissioning and operation\n\nWillingness to engage and collaborate with a wide range of multi-disciplinary counterparties\n\nWhy Kantor? \n\nKantor's mission is to deliver novel and innovative solutions within the distributed energy sector, with a focus on sustainable and low-carbon projects.
