Summary

A confidential engineering and infrastructure firm in Ohio is seeking a Contract Manager to lead all contractual, regulatory, and compliance functions across its project portfolio. This role is central to managing contract negotiation, execution, insurance programs, and licensing compliance across multi-state operations. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in engineering or construction contracting, regulatory research, and risk management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders for engineering and design services.
  • Collaborate with business development, project management, and legal teams to align contract terms with business goals and risk profiles.
  • Develop standardized templates and clause libraries to streamline operations.
  • Maintain corporate registrations, engineering licenses, and PE certificates of authorization across jurisdictions.
  • Monitor renewal deadlines and ensure compliance with state boards and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage insurance programs including certificates, endorsements, and coverage compliance across multiple lines.
  • Coordinate with brokers and clients to meet contractual insurance requirements.
  • Conduct regulatory research across federal, state, and local levels—covering safety, environmental, permitting, labor, and data protection.
  • Advise leadership on regulatory changes impacting operations or delivery models.
  • Establish centralized contract repositories and implement tracking systems for deliverables, renewals, and closeouts.
  • Serve as the primary contact for contractual matters with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Lead onboarding of subcontractors, including prequalification and compliance validation.
  • Manage contract-related claims, disputes, and change orders in partnership with legal counsel.
  • Track contract values, billing schedules, and financial exposure in coordination with accounting and PM teams.
  • Generate executive-level reports on risk trends, insurance compliance, and registration status.


Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Law, or related field; Juris Doctorate (JD)
  • 5+ years of experience in contract management or legal administration within engineering, construction, or infrastructure services.
  • CPCM, CFCM, or CCCA certification .
  • Familiarity with utility, broadband, and public-sector contracting strongly .
  • Experience managing multi-state licensing and compliance.
  • Strong grasp of indemnity, limitation-of-liability, and professional services contracting.
  • Proficiency in contract management and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across teams and enforce accountability.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be available Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM ET; occasional evenings/weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and dependable transportation.
  • Must pass background check, drug test, and driving record check.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
