Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant
Location: Bristol

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join a respected environmental consultancy in Bristol. You will take a key role in delivering flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, SuDS design and planning documentation for developments across the property, aviation and renewable energy sectors.
As a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant, you will lead elements of project delivery, contribute to early strategy development and provide technical input across feasibility, outline design and planning submissions. You will collaborate with cross discipline teams, support junior colleagues and help shape high quality, sustainable drainage solutions within multi disciplinary projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and review Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.
Develop SuDS designs and drainage modelling using InfoDrainage or similar tools.
Support feasibility studies, masterplanning and planning delivery.
Engage with clients, regulators and internal specialists.
Provide guidance to junior team members and contribute to team development.
Produce clear and precise technical reports.
About You
At least four years' experience in flood risk and drainage planning.
Strong user of InfoDrainage and experienced with SuDS design.
Confident with planning policy, drainage standards and the NPPF.
Skilled in AutoCAD and GIS.
Excellent communication, leadership and report writing skills.
Motivated, organised and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
