Ocotillo, AZ | Onsite

Our client is seeking an experienced Tool Install Project Manager to support a large-scale semiconductor manufacturing expansion in Ocotillo, Arizona. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing tool installation activities from engineering and design coordination through startup, final turnover, and factory handoff.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of semiconductor tool install experience and understands how to successfully coordinate OEMs, contractors, facilities teams, and project stakeholders in a fast-paced fab environment. This position is responsible for managing the overall tool install scope, driving schedule, quality, safety, and execution across multiple concurrent installations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage semiconductor tool installation projects from design input through final startup and factory turnover.
  • Lead overall tool install execution, coordinating engineering, contractors, facilities, and client teams.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and execution plans.
  • Drive project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety throughout the installation process.
  • Coordinate all phases of tool hook-up activities to ensure successful execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, contractors, engineering teams, and client representatives.
  • Review construction and engineering documents to ensure constructability and successful field execution.
  • Identify project risks, resolve field issues, and remove obstacles affecting schedule or productivity.
  • Manage RFIs, change management, project documentation, and status reporting.
  • Coordinate installation sequencing with multiple trades and support organizations.
  • Lead project meetings, track action items, and provide regular progress updates.
  • Ensure all work complies with site safety requirements, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Support commissioning activities, startup, punch list completion, and final turnover to manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of semiconductor construction or tool installation experience.
  • Strong background managing semiconductor tool install projects within active fabrication facilities.
  • Experience overseeing complete tool installation scope from design through final handoff.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor hook-up projects in live manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of cleanroom construction practices and semiconductor facility operations.
  • Excellent scheduling, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard project management software.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting major semiconductor manufacturers.
  • Experience working with EPCM firms, General Contractors, or Owner's Representative organizations.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor OEM installation processes and factory acceptance requirements.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management experience is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Full-time, onsite in Ocotillo, Arizona
