Job Title: Project Manager – Commercial & Public Works Construction

Location: Long Beach, Chino or Eastvale

Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee a public works project in Chino, Long Beach or potential future work in Eastvale. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical construction knowledge, and the ability to run ground-up or modernization projects from preconstruction through closeout. While DSA and public works experience is strongly , we’re also open to candidates with proven success managing complex commercial projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of construction projects from buyout and scheduling to turnover and closeout
  • Manage field operations in coordination with the Superintendent
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants
  • Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, safety protocols, and quality control standards
  • Participate in internal forecasting, reporting, and owner meetings
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to APMs, Project Engineers, and field staff

Experience

  • 5–15 years of project management experience with a general contractor
  • Background in DSA/public works, K–12, or higher education projects
  • Will also consider strong commercial construction professionals with solid ground-up experience
  • Skilled in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of public agency compliance, safety, and documentation standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
