Job Title: Project Manager – Commercial & Public Works Construction
Location: Long Beach, Chino or Eastvale
Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee a public works project in Chino, Long Beach or potential future work in Eastvale. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical construction knowledge, and the ability to run ground-up or modernization projects from preconstruction through closeout. While DSA and public works experience is strongly , we’re also open to candidates with proven success managing complex commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of construction projects from buyout and scheduling to turnover and closeout
- Manage field operations in coordination with the Superintendent
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants
- Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, safety protocols, and quality control standards
- Participate in internal forecasting, reporting, and owner meetings
- Provide mentorship and oversight to APMs, Project Engineers, and field staff
Experience
- 5–15 years of project management experience with a general contractor
- Background in DSA/public works, K–12, or higher education projects
- Will also consider strong commercial construction professionals with solid ground-up experience
- Skilled in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of public agency compliance, safety, and documentation standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
