I am working with a wholly owned local authority development company based in East London who are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to join their team

This is an exciting opportunity within the team as the role demands significant technical and design management skill, commercial aptitude and awareness of the construction process and delivery of development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the diversion and disconnection process with statutory bodies and contractors and the like
• Lead on on infrastructure and utilities phasing including energy, sustainability & community heat networks.
• Develop the projects servicing strategy, including waste, cycle storage & delivery hubs
• Develop Masterplan construction logistics strategy and phasing reporting back to Populo and Stakeholders.
• Work with Senior Development Manager,Lead Design manager to understand the risks and opportunities available for each project related to the overall construction strategy.

Knowledge and experience:

• Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline, e.g. Surveying, Project Management, or equivalent by experience
• Demonstrate post qualification experience and demonstrable track record of managing large and complex construction projects both contractor and client side
• Up-to-date knowledge of construction best practice and regulations
• Working knowledge of construction contracts, forms of professional appointment, planning framework, design, materials, and construction processes.
• Working knowledge of land registration, utilities wayleaves, highway, sewer adoption legislation and procedure
