OOH Senior Commercial Manager
Location - London - Hybrid
Salary £55,000 - £60,000 basic plus 20% bonus
We are working with a rapidly growing dessert brand to hire a OOH Senior Commercial Manager to join their high performing team.
We are in search of an exceptional Senior Commercial Manager with experience within FMCG for a growing desert brand’s Out-of-Home (OOH) team, known for its entrepreneurial spirit and high-performance culture. In this newly established role, you'll report directly to the Head of OOH and take charge of their most significant OOH accounts within the Wholesale and High Street sectors, with oversight of one direct report.
The Role
Your daily responsibilities will revolve around nurturing strong commercial relationships with buyers, collaborating seamlessly across various internal teams to ensure the delivery of top-tier activations. Expanding their customer base is crucial, especially with the introduction of the impulse range and promising growth prospects within the High Street channel.
About you
To excel in this role, you should come equipped with a proven track record of successfully expanding distribution and wholesale accounts for branded/own brand products. Ideally, you'll have experience in negotiating trade activities to bolster and grow your key accounts. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in supporting the OOH team in meeting sustainable, high-growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, propose, and implement the Wholesale & High Street yearly strategy in alignment with the overarching business strategy, while also contributing to shaping the three-year plans for your respective channels.
- Gain deep insights into the needs and strategies of wholesalers and customers. Additionally, stay attuned to macro-trends impacting the product category and the broader industry.
- Foster connections within the extensive network of essential retailers, including buyers, category managers, merchandising teams, and supply chain.
- Take responsibility for collaborating across functions to ensure the success of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Identify new business opportunities by conducting research and proactively targeting suitable partners.
- Cultivate and sustain robust relationships, both internally and externally, with key stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate with various audiences through presentations and proposals.
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in a sales/commercial management role in the food/drink industry (preferably cross functional & strategic organisation/SME), with a history of managing direct reports.
- Strong forecasting and commercial experience, with previous account P&L ownership preferred. Including being financially and commercially literate with advanced excel skills.
- A proven track record of winning brand listings across High Street/Impulse, preferably in chilled and/or frozen categories.
- Both strategically and operate in a 'hands on' manner.
- Experience with in a high growth brand within a startup or an SME.
- Has experienced different business ownership structures and business cultures with a preference for having worked in a start-up and/or family-owned managed business or PE-backed business.
