Position Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day servicing of an assigned book of commercial lines business, including client inquiries, policy administration, claims coordination, and marketing activities.
- Investigate and resolve policy-related issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Offer recommendations for improvements to internal processes, policy structures, or product offerings to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
- Participate in client meetings to set expectations and provide guidance ahead of policy renewals.
- Proactively manage policy renewal timelines to ensure continuity of coverage by evaluating risk exposure and market conditions 90–120 days prior to expiration.
- Market new and renewal business as needed to secure optimal coverage and pricing.
- Gather and assess client risk information to support accurate quoting.
- Partner with producers and marketing managers to identify appropriate carriers and request competitive quotes.
- Engage in carrier negotiations and present renewal options and recommendations.
- Review policy terms to ensure proper alignment with the client's specific exposures and risk profile.
- Follow established workflows for processing policy changes, endorsements, audits, and document management.
- Coordinate with the Claims Manager on high-severity or open claims to improve communication and service delivery.
- Prepare loss summaries and analysis for renewals and client review meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and vendors to ensure effective communication and support.
- Work collaboratively with team account managers and assistants to ensure timely service, renewals, and delivery of client requirements.
- Provide backup support to team members during time off to maintain consistent service levels.
- Mentor, coach, and train junior team members to support professional development and team growth.
- Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance, with a strong understanding of industry standards and client servicing.
- expertise in underwriting and managing risks related to transportation, construction, and hospitality sectors.
- Familiarity with Applied Epic and CSR24 systems is highly desirable; training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Solid knowledge of insurance carriers, underwriting practices, and market dynamics.
