Job Description Job Description Office Location: 100% onsite in any of the following locations: Louisville, KY Indianapolis, IN Memphis, TN Nashville, TN Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead the design, coordination, and delivery of complex civil engineering projects. This role involves overseeing infrastructure, site development, and utility design efforts while guiding project teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring client satisfaction. It’s an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact within a growing, multidisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage civil engineering design projects, including site development, grading, stormwater management, roadways, and utility systems. Conduct and review site evaluations, design calculations, feasibility analyses, and technical reports. Collaborate with internal and external teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Review and approve plans, specifications, and technical documentation. Serve as a client liaison—communicating progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring goals are met. Mentor junior engineers, designers, and technical staff. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Support project management functions such as resource planning, budgeting, and quality control. Manage multiple projects simultaneously with effective prioritization and time management. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee or ability to obtain within six months. Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience, emphasizing site development and infrastructure projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other industry-standard design software. Strong knowledge of stormwater design, grading, and utility systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills. Proven ability to manage teams and deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
