Senior Civil Engineer
£50,000 - £63,000 + Bonus + Hybrid

Tongwynlais, Cardiff

Are you a Civil Engineer with experience in drainage, highways or section agreements, looking to step into a growing consultancy that offers clear progression routes up to Directorship and potential shares, flexible working, and involvement in a diverse range of projects across the residential, renewables, and public sectors?

On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy based just outside Cardiff. Established in 2012 and now employing around 35 staff, they've built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality design solutions across multiple markets. With a healthy two-year pipeline of work, they're looking to expand their civil engineering team as they continue to grow across the residential, housing association, renewables (wind and solar), and emerging rail sectors.

As a Senior or Principal/Associate Engineer, you'll manage and mentor a small team of engineers and technicians, oversee the design of drainage and infrastructure schemes, and act as a key client contact across multiple live projects. You'll work on everything from housing developments to wind farms, ensuring high technical standards while supporting junior engineers in their professional development. The company actively supports chartership and provides external training through its dedicated training budget.

The Role:

  • Manage a team of Engineers and Technicians on live projects

  • Oversee designs and calculations for drainage, highways, and infrastructure

  • Handle Section Agreements and coordinate with local authorities
  • \n

  • Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and contractors
  • \n

  • Support and mentor junior team members
  • \n

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • \n

  • Work across residential, renewables, and public sector projects
  • \n

  • Monday to Friday (40 hours) - flexible start/finish
  • \n

  • Experienced Civil Engineer (Senior / Principal / Associate level)

  • Confident managing people and overseeing multiple projects
