Senior Civil Engineer

NES Fircroft continue to partner with a global power OEM, strengthening their engineering team in Germany.

The business requires senior civil engineering professionals (x2) to join on a contract basis to support their HV Substation and HVDC projects

Full time until: 31.12.2026 – extension of contract highly likely

Language: German & English, German should be good enough to communicate with end-customer and authorities

Scope of Responsibility: Senior Civil Engineer HVDC

For the planning and construction of a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission facility near Bremen, we are looking for support in the supervision and coordination of the permitting design phase (HOAI service phase 4) and the detailed design phase (HOAI service phase 5).

The candidate will coordinate, in alignment with the project stakeholders, between the civil design planner, the end customer, and the authorities.
 

The civil design planner is a subcontractor, and the candidate will serve as the main point of contact regarding input data and interfaces. 

The goal is to support the engineering/design office in meeting contractual deadlines and delivering the required quality.

A candidate with experience in the construction of HVDC systems, STATCOMs, or switchgear installations in substations would be highly welcome; alternatively, a candidate with experience in industrial construction would also be helpful

Scope of Responsibility: Senior Civil Engineer Substations

For the construction of a gas-insulated switchgear system in southwestern Germany, we are looking for a civil engineer who will check the implementation planning (work phase 5) both technically and for contractual conformity.

The construction planner is a subcontractor, the candidate should be the contact person with regard to input data and interfaces. The aim is to support the planning office in meeting contractual deadlines.

In addition, the candidate should support the preparation of an inspection and test plan for the construction work. 

The candidate will coordinate closely with the project management and the construction manager.

A candidate with experience in the construction of switchgear in substations would be very welcome, otherwise a candidate from industrial construction would be helpful.
