Senior Civil Engineer

We have an immediate opportunity for Senior Pole Engineer for the Los Angeles area. This position requires management and development of new projects once all data and information are collected. The ideal candidate will play an active role in research and design and will require strategic decision-making process for new projects. This is a hybrid position with two days in the office.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing and developing new projects once data is received.
• Ability to lead a team performing structural and line design analysis using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Caisson
• Perform as the go-to-expert for modeling and analysis across transmission and distribution
• Oversee QA/QC processing adhering to company safety standards
• Review and design pole foundations
• Provide expert guidance on new installation and the ability to evaluate existing structures
• Responsible for supporting construction activities coordinating with the field teams and the inspectors on various issues which include emergency restoration efforts due to wildfires, storms and other incidents
• Proven leadership, mentorship, guidance, and instruction to the transmission engineering team

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural engineering
• California Civil PE license required
• Seven plus years’ experience of technical experience in Transmission and/or Distribution Engineering
• Engineering experience with Electric Utility Distribution and Transmission Systems using G095, NESC, and ASCE codes and guidelines with PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, AutoCAD with desired skillset in PLS-Caisson, and SPIDAcalc
