Senior Chemical Processing Engineer
About the Role:
The Chemical Process Engineer will join the Materials Engineering Team in Supply Chain Operations (Plastics Materials), supporting critical projects for plastics manufacturing. These materials include liquid photocurable formulations and polymer powders used in 3D Systems printing.
The role involves designing new processes, improving existing ones, and ensuring manufacturing equipment and processes operate efficiently, cost-effectively, and with consistent quality.
Candidates should have experience in batch manufacturing of liquid or powder materials, be hands-on problem solvers, and balance technical and operational priorities. Strong communication skills are required for effective collaboration with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.

What We Are Looking For:
Process design for liquid and solid mixing, and packaging processes. Coordinating equipment selections, interacting with contractors, and evaluating quotes.
Work closely with operations and materials development groups to transfer processes into manufacturing.
Develop specifications and qualify processing and packaging equipment for manufacturing use.
Develop appropriate quality metrics to monitor capability of manufacturing processes, find sources of variation and implement controls.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in engineering discipline from an accredited university. Chemical engineering , but would also consider mechanical, or industrial engineering with appropriate experience.
5 years of experience in design and installation of batch manufacturing of liquid or powder materials. Experience in chemical, material, food, or pharmaceutical processing environment .
Experience with supplier quality management, process automation systems and quality management systems a plus.
Must be able (and comfortable) to work with and around organic chemicals in a laboratory and production environment.
