CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Buyer, Laboratory, to join a growing and exciting research facility in Oxford, on a permanent basis. This role will be hybrid, requiring you to be on-site for three days a week.\n\nThe Company:\n\nA research-driven organisation led by talented scientists and entrepreneurs, dedicated to creating sustainable solutions for global challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration. This exciting new campus will feature state of art R&D facility, specialised laboratories, oncology clinics and focus on bridging scientific discovery with real-world applications by integrating expertise from various fields, including biomedical science, engineering, and public health.  \n\nThe Role:\n\nOur client is seeking an experienced and commercially savvy Senior Buyer, Healthcare & Laboratory, to source, negotiate, purchase and manage the supply of essential materials and equipment for the facilities department, including both laboratory research and clinical operations.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nManaging the procurement of healthcare and laboratory products and services.\nWorking closely with Legal Services to ensure timely contract reviews.\nNegotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure optimal terms and pricing.\nEvaluating supplier performance and maintaining strong vendor relationships.\nDeveloping and implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.\nManage the documentation required for procurement, including purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and shipping records. \n Your Background:\n\nA relevant BSc.\nMinimum CIPS Level 4.\nExperience of working with laboratory reagents, consumables, equipment, and clinical trial supplies is highly .\nKnowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and regulatory requirements related to procurement in scientific settings.\nExperience with procurement software, ERP systems, and inventory management tools is desirable. \n Salary:\n\n Competitive with an excellent benefits package.\n\nApply:\n\nIt is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
