Job Description

Overview

Our client is a leading European alternative asset manager with over €15 billion in assets under management, headquartered in Munich and operating across major European financial hubs. The firm is a recognized leader in private markets with deep expertise in private equity, private credit, and infrastructure. Within its Private Credit platform, the firm invests across direct lending, opportunistic credit, and special situations, partnering with institutional investors globally including pension funds, insurance companies, and family offices.

The Private Credit team continues to scale its investment activities, focusing on senior and unitranche financings to mid-market companies across DACH and broader Europe, with strong deal flow and an active origination pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the origination, evaluation, and execution of private credit investments including senior secured, unitranche, and subordinated debt transactions
• Conduct financial modelling, credit analysis, and company due diligence across target sectors (industrial, services, healthcare, software, and consumer)
• Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to the investment committee
• Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and risk metrics across the credit portfolio
• Contribute to market research, deal sourcing, and relationship management with sponsors, advisors, and management teams
• Collaborate closely with senior team members across Munich and other European offices on cross-border deal execution

Candidate Profile

• 4–6 years of professional experience in private credit, leveraged finance, debt advisory, or structured finance
• Prior exposure to mid-market lending, credit structuring, and financial analysis
• Solid technical skills in financial modelling and risk assessment
• Fluent in German and English, with strong communication and presentation capabilities
• Analytical, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced investment environment
• Degree in finance, economics, business, or related field from a leading university
