We are a space technology company, working to design and deliver space vehicle subsystems for the next of lunar rovers. Collaborating closely with our sister companies throughout Europe we are leveraging our broad range of experience to provide cutting edge electric vehicle technology to the space mobility sector.
Position Overview
We are seeking an Analysis & Simulation Engineer to lead space vehicle subsystem simulation activities, with a focus on multi-body thermal modeling and mechanical structural/ vibration analysis. The ideal candidate has prior space industry experience and is comfortable working alongside design engineers, setting up analysis standards, and ensuring mission-critical system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for space vehicle subsystem thermal and vibration simulation efforts.
- Develop, run, and maintain high-fidelity thermal models of space assemblies and payloads.
- Lead structural dynamics and vibration analysis, including launch survivability studies.
- Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and test engineers to correlate simulation models with test data.
- Define and maintain analysis processes, best practices, and internal tools.
- Provide technical input to requirements definition, verification, and design trade studies.
- Interface with customers, partners, and review boards.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in thermal and/or structural analysis, ideally in the aerospace industry.
- Expertise with thermal analysis tools (Thermal Desktop, ESATAN, SINDA, or equivalent).
- Proficiency with FEA software (ANSYS, NASTRAN, Abaqus, etc.).
- Strong understanding of space environments, standards (NASA, ESA, MIL-STD).
- Experience in test-to-simulation correlation.
- Proven ability to take ownership of analysis efforts in a project setting.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment in the future.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in thermal and/or structural analysis, ideally in the aerospace industry.
- Experience leading thermal-structural coupled analyses.
- Familiarity with Python/Matlab scripting for workflow automation.
- Exposure to system-level trades, requirements management, or MBSE tools.
