Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Advisor, Commercial to support the Head of Commercial & Economics in leading negotiations, drafting agreements, and ensuring the organisation’s commercial interests are protected. The role involves working closely with internal teams, joint venture partners, and external stakeholders on high-value oil and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the negotiation and drafting of key contracts, including production sharing and joint operating agreements.

  • Act as a liaison between internal departments on commercial projects.

  • Oversee, develop, and strengthen commercial relationships with external stakeholders and partners.

  • Assess the commercial impact of business decisions and provide scenario analysis.

  • Lead or coordinate in commercial negotiations to safeguard company interests.

  • Prepare proposals, reports, and responses to partner or regulatory queries.

  • Represent the company at industry and trade groups.

  • Support the Head of Commercial & Economics with reporting and strategic initiatives.

Key Authorities

  • Review contracts and agreements, including PSCs, JOAs, sales agreements, farm-out agreements, and others.

  • Prepare presentations and manage communications with partners and stakeholders.

  • Plan and track contract performance and compliance.

  • Take responsibility for ensuring commercial arrangements meet business objectives.

Working Relationships
Internal: Collaborate with all relevant departments and sections across the organisation.
External: Work with joint venture partners, regulatory authorities, external legal firms, and other industry stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.

  • Strong experience with production sharing contracts, joint operating agreements, and sales agreements.

  • Proven track record in commercial negotiations and economics.

  • Experience working on major oil and gas projects.

  • University degree in Engineering, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.

  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
