Strong background in enterprise system programming, commissioning, database configuration, troubleshooting, customer training, risk management, and project documentation.

\n
Attend pre-construction meetings, technical coordination meetings, and on-site kickoff meetings.
\n
Ensure all required permits, badges, and compliance documentation are secured before project start.
\n
Execution & Oversight:
\n
Manage day-to-day field activities for security and low-voltage integration projects, including:
\n
Ensure installations follow industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and AKT best practices.
\n
Identify technical issues early and provide timely resolutions.
\n
Confirm readiness for testing, tuning, programming, and commissioning.
\n
Customer Communication & Relationship Management:
\n
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, GCs, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
\n
Provide clear, timely project updates, progress reports, and coordination summaries.
\n
Handle escalations professionally and maintain strong client relationships.
\n
Represent AK Technologies with professionalism and focus on repeat business opportunities.
\n
Quality Assurance & Technical Oversight:
\n
Verify proper installation of all low-voltage equipment, devices, hardware, cabling, racks, and terminations.
\n
Conduct field inspections to ensure quality, neatness, and compliance with AKT standards.
\n
Coordinate device configuration, head-end and controller setup, camera and access-control programming, integration, and commissioning.
\n
Ensure all systems perform according to design intent and client expectations.
\n
Oversee punch lists and confirm all items are completed prior to handoff.
\n
Subcontractor Management:
\n
Source, coordinate, and oversee subcontractors for specialty low-voltage work (electrical support, structured cabling, coring/trenching, fabrication, etc.).
\n
Review subcontractor proposals, scopes of work, and deliverables.
\n
Ensure subcontractor work meets quality, schedule, and integration requirements.
\n
Leadership, Team Coordination & Training:
\n
Provide direction, guidance, and support to field technicians, installers, and programmers.
\n
Assist with resource planning and manpower allocation.
\n
Conduct field training for installation standards, cable management, and rack-building techniques.
\n
Mentor junior PMs or coordinators where applicable.
\n
Continuous Improvement:
\n
Identify opportunities to streamline installation processes and reduce rework.
\n
Participate in post-project evaluations and lessons-learned sessions.
\n
Stay current on security and low-voltage technology trends, new products, and industry certifications.
\n
Certifications & Qualifications:
\n
Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required, or an equivalent recognized project management certification (e.g., CAPM, PgMP, PRINCE2).
\n
Proven project management experience leading low-voltage and electronic security integration projects.
\n
Strong working knowledge of electronic security systems: video surveillance (CCTV/IP), access control, and intrusion/alarm.
\n
Familiarity with fire alarm, AV, and public address (PA) systems is a plus.
\n
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, and low-voltage specifications.
\n
Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and low-voltage licensing requirements.
\n
Excellent leadership, scheduling, budgeting, and client-communication skills.
